ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

The Guild was the old girls' association of Bedford High School for Girls and was formed in 1892 when the school was 10 years old. Its aims were 'to promote a feeling of fellowship among past members of the school and to maintain and strengthen the friendship between them and the present school'.

The Guild was formally dissolved on 31st December 2024 and has now moved under the umbrella of The Alumnae. An annual reunion for all former students of Bedford High School is held each summer, with smaller year group reunions at regular intervals on request. For any information please contact Emma MacKenzie in The Alumnae Office alumnae@bedfordgirlsschool.co.uk.

THE FELLOWSHIP FUND

Founded in 1907, The Fellowship Fund supports the education and development of past and present pupils of Bedford Girls’ School and former pupils of Bedford High School through financial assistance for educational projects, courses, GAP year programmes, vocational training, and extracurricular opportunities.

Now a registered charity, the Fund continues to rely on donations from alumnae and supporters. Trustees meet three times a year to review applications, with awards typically available up to £1,000.
