DISCOVER OUR HERITAGE

Bedford Girls' School is very proud of its shared heritage and maintains a large archive of memories of both heritage schools in Burnaby House. Alumnae of both schools are very welcome to visit the archive. We now have a dedicated meeting space within Burnaby House, the Heritage Room, enabling alumnae to meet up with school friends and enjoy browsing the archives over coffee. In the warmer months alumnae can also enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Sensory Garden, which is tucked behind Burnaby House.

BURNABY HOUSE

Our physical archive, housed within Burnaby House, preserves the rich history and heritage of the school and its community. The collection includes photographs, magazines, uniforms, memorabilia, documents, and personal stories spanning generations of pupils and alumnae. Alumnae are warmly invited to visit and explore the archive, reconnect with school memories, and contribute to the ongoing story of the school.

HERITAGE ROOM

Located within Burnaby House, the Heritage Room is a welcoming dedicated space where alumnae can browse archive materials in a relaxed setting. Whether revisiting old photographs, reading school publications, or sharing memories with friends over coffee, the room offers a comfortable and nostalgic place to connect with the school’s history.

SENSORY GARDEN

Hidden behind Burnaby House, the Sensory Garden provides a peaceful outdoor retreat for visitors to enjoy during the warmer months. Designed as a calm and reflective space, the garden offers an opportunity to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the surroundings while visiting the archive or Heritage Room.
